Poetry and writing

I’m blessed to be able to write. To express my ideas. To share with myself and to look at what’s going on within. It feels mandatory to me, for my mental health.

Scary activities do this too, they create inner space to be able to look around and see what’s going it. It fosters questions.

I’ve been keeping journals for 6 years now. I write pretty much exclusively with my left hand as a way to train something while Doing something. As a way to balance out all the years of schooling and one sided sports.

Writing has brought so much balance to my life.

Balance is f@$&ing hard. Unlearn and re learn. Work through pain. Add tension, remove tension.

I’m grateful to be doing the work. Working on myself and for myself. Working on creating the best life possible.

Writing is work.

It’s a kind of work I can have fun with and find meaning in. I play all the time in my writing.

I could try more and more to put words to it. To express.

Instead I ask you to write a letter to yourself. Share it with me, or keep it to yourself. I’ll share with you my deepest darkest secrets and let you into my mind. something I’m slowly doing with the world. Something I think we should all do. We are more similar than different.

I love me

I love you

You’re life matters

My life matters

Clayton Koob

I’ve created this space through years of work on myself, with the help of many amazing people. I’m so thankful my path has brought me here. Thank you for joining :)
